I am Teacher Chay. I graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Studies, and a Juris Doctor degree in law.

I am currently a legal case assistant for a law services firm in Sydney, Australia.

During my free time, I teach English to Chinese students, and help law students with their homework. I also enjoy cooking, baking, eating, reading and traveling.

I may come from the legal industry but teaching is something I discovered I was good at. I have been teaching English for almost 4 years now. I’ve taught students from varying backgrounds — from little kids to adults, beginners to advanced learners, students to managerial employees. I tried learning two other languages when I was younger — Korean and Mandarin Chinese; so I am well aware of the frustrations and hardships of learning a new language.

With the right mind set and attitude, learning another language can be fun. I hope to see you in my classes.
